Ok. Hi. My name is Will Peischel. I’m a writer and researcher who lives in Brooklyn, New York.

I work full-time as a fact checker at New York Magazine to ensure print editions are reader-ready.

As a freelance writer, my work has appeared in publications like The Atlantic, The New York Times, and GQ. I’ve written about burning human cadavers in the Texas desert (for science), reviving Rust Belt economies by plugging oil wells, and why Google Maps is my favorite social media platform.

On a contract basis, I also fact-check stories at big outlets like The New York Times and This American Life. Book projects occasionally enter the fray, too.
