Ok. Hi. My name is Will Peischel. I’m a journalist, writer, and fact-checker who lives in Brooklyn, New York.

I work full-time fact-checker at New York Magazine, where I make sure print editions are reader-ready.

As a freelance writer, my work has appeared in publications like The Atlantic, The New York Times, and GQ. My recent stories have covered burning human cadavars in the Texas desert (for science), reviving Rust Belt economies by plugging oil wells, and why Google Maps is my favorite social media platform.

On the side, I fact-check stories at big outlets like The New York Times and This American Life. Occasional book projects also enter the fray, too.
